Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located in the Piper Tech Center, 555 Ramirez St. Los Angeles, CA 90012. The Will-Call desk is immediately on the right after entering past the Guard Shack in Space 175. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Q: How do I order something?
A: To order items from a warehouse, you will have to create a Material Stock Request (MSR) in FMS. Instructions on how to do so can be found in the FMS 601: Departmental Ordering manual (page 134). You can also request items from the warehouse by filling out and submitting a Stores Multi-Use Form. This form is available on City Forms.
Q: What kind of items do you carry?
A: We stock over 3,000 different items from absorbent to wrenches. To see what items are currently available at the DCG, City employees can run the FIN-INV-0015 Warehouse Catalog Report in InfoAdvantage or use the "Shop" Page in FMS, check the inventory box and search for the desired items. Q: What if you do not carry what I am looking for, could you special order for me?
A: Typically, we do not do special orders. If, however, you anticipate a repeated, high dollar demand, then we might add the item to our stock inventory. To initiate that request, please fill out the parts request form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Do you charge an ordering or shipping fee?
A: No, as part of our service, we never add an order processing or shipping charge.
Q: Do you deliver or do I have to pick it up?
A: If you're part of our normal distribution route, then we can deliver, just be sure to include any special instructions on your MSR or SMUF. If you'd rather Will-Call, contact our staff (213) 473-8024 to confirm that your order is ready before you come down.
Q: How long does it take to get something?
A: If it's in stock, you should have your order within 4-7 working days. If you have a special needs "rush" order, contact our staff (213) 473-8024 for expedited delivery.
Q: How can I check the status of my order?
A: To check the status of your order, please have your MSR number handy or SMUF number and call our office at (213) 473-8050.
Q: Do the prices I see include sales tax?
A: No, they do not. The price you see in FMS or in our catalog excludes Sales Tax and is actually an average price from the date it was first purchased. So, you might see some slight fluctuations on your final invoice; depending on an items cost from recent Purchase Orders.
Q: What if I ordered something by mistake, can I return it?
A: If it’s a normally stocked item, yes, you can return it. If it’s used or part of a special order, contact our staff at 213-473-8024 to resolve.

The City of Los Angeles' Environmentally-Preferable Purchasing (EPP) Program is founded on Ordinance No. 180751 (http://www.environmentla.org/pdf/2010/EPP_Ordinance.pdf). Environmentally-Preferable Products (EPP) have a lesser or reduced adverse impact on human health and the environment.
